Selb
Selb is located in the North East of Bavaria within the triangle of the German federal
states of Bavaria, Thuringia and Saxony.
The city is also only five kilometres or an 8-minute drive away from the Czech Republic.
The nearby motorway A 93 connects Selb directly to the main national roads.
In addition to the motorway access, there is a good connection northbound towards Hof
via the federal road B 15.
From the A 9, it is 30 km to Selb via the connection B 289.
In the other direction, the E 48/E 49 lead towards Karlovy Vary/Czech Republic (70 km).
Hardly any other region in Germany offers a comparable diversity for holidays and
recreation. The Franconian Fichtel mountains provide a wide range of opportunities for
exciting adventures as well as relaxation. Outdoor sports and exercise play a central role,
in summer as in winter.
The outlet centre is located in the former production halls of the Selb porcelain manufactory Heinrich, which was taken over by Villeroy & Boch in 1976. Since July 2001, visitors from near and far have been enjoying the shopping experience in the founder era buildings here. Until 2024 the centre will have been renovated in three stages and expanded by almost 70%. The existing buildings have already been converted and successfully opened in April 2019. The newly constructed areas will then be available in 2023/2024. Due to the unique history of the location as a porcelain manufactory, the newly designed outlet centre will have a focus on the glass/porcelain/ceramics range. The additional sectors of home, sports & outdoor, fashion, shoes and children's clothing ensure a good mix of products, typical for an outlet. The shopping experience is rounded off by a wide range of gastronomic offerings. Visitors will soon be able to enjoy the beautiful mixture of nature, forests and mountains as well as the new size and splendour of Germany's largest outlet.
