HUMA Outlet Sankt Augustin opened its doors one year ago.

Today, it stands as a successful hybrid centre that connects brands, people and emotions.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be attending MAPIC in Cannes, looking forward to numerous meetings, inspiring conversations, and valuable insights from the international retail and outlet community.

Once again, we’ll be presenting several exciting projects that are currently in development and set to be realised over the coming years – all with a clear focus on creating high-quality retail and outlet destinations across Europe.

For us, MAPIC remains one of the key events of the year – a place to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and shape the future of retail together.

A major milestone has been reached! Yesterday marked the official start of construction for Bulgaria’s first outlet village, set to open at the end of 2026 - Outlet Village Sofia.

The project represents a new benchmark for the country’s retail landscape – combining authentic architecture, lifestyle flair, and an outstanding selection of international brands.

We are pleased to see the project progressing and look forward to supporting the upcoming stages of development.

ecostra Shopping Center Performance Report 2025

The annual ecostra Shopping Center Performance Report impressively highlights the development of the German shopping center landscape. Many centers are struggling with vacancies, lack of emotional appeal, or clear positioning.

The HUMA Center in Sankt Augustin was also affected before the integration of the outlet area on the first floor – despite stable footfall, as it was primarily perceived as a local convenience center.

2023: Rank 142 | Score 3.16

2024: Rank 54 | Score 2.41

2025: Rank 11 | Score 2.0 (after the outlet opening in November 2024)

This remarkable improvement sends a clear signal: the hybrid concept of Shopping & Outlet creates added value for everyone – existing tenants, outlet brands, customers, and owners alike.
